2000 - 12 Year Old Sees Football Shaped Wobbling Craft From 100 Feet Away (MUFON Report)

Pretty good account... except how in the world does he not go into the size of the craft? And, if he was 12 he knows the approx year, right?

Unfortunately my dates and times are not accurate. This was about 15 years ago, however this event has profoundly changed my opinion of what reality on earth may be. I never got around to reporting it, because at that time, hell, I was only 12. I was sitting in the driveway waiting for my mom to take me to hockey practice I'm the afternoon sometime. Suddenly out of my right eye I feel a flash of light(may have been reflecting the sun). I glance over and I see a solid black/gray football shaped craft emerging from the woods and rocking while banking towards the next group of wooded area. From where I was sitting the craft was less than 100 feet away from me in broad daylight and clear skies. It appeared like a football on its side with the top and bottom hemispheres slightly off center. It had what almost looked like black corrugated tubing stretching from front to back of the craft. Another part about the instance that I have to express is the movement of the craft. As soon as the bright flash happened I'm not sure if the being controlling the craft was startled or lost control, but the way how it rocked while it was banking made me believe that whatever piloting it had an "oh crap" moment. If there was a person inside it, surely it would have vomited from the rocking. Maybe it was autonomous. That's the only reason why I bring up the movement. It may have been some sort of drone. Ours? Maybe. It had no wings or visible engine and was absolutely silent. Maineville used to be pretty rural at that time, it headed towards what used to be a farm. I only saw it for about 30 seconds but the 30 seconds has been burned into my head for quite some time. I wish I had accurate time and dates. Maybe someone else saw this. I've never seen any other ufo report about anything like what I saw. Trust me since I was 12 I've been obsessed with this. I've researched everywhere and watched countless videos trying to find a match of what I saw, which now leads me to reaching out to others. I know what I saw. I saw it close and in broad daylight. You can't tell me it was a blimp, it was less than 100 feet away from me. This was real. If a sketch is needed, I'll do my best.

No sketch was submitted - I can't really remember a `football shape' before but a small percentage of UFOs display the `falling leaf' or `rocking' phenomena.

it was 6:00 p.m. time to walk our dog behind our apartment . my wife and i started down our driveway and when got out back she noticed it first and when she pointed it out to me i was stunned. very close overhead this brilliant red star just hovered above us not making a sound. i observed it for about 10 seconds at which time it started assending slowly. i started screaming for my daughter and ran inside my apartment to get my camcorder.when i returned out back it was still visable but not bright enough to record. i have seen and recorded both day and night several strange sightings since moving to this area twito years ago so i usually have my camcorder with me at all times but not this time. what ever this was it definitly was there for me to see it. it was like seeing the star of bethlehem .as amazed as i was by this it pales in comparison to a close encounter i had with two friends around 1974 in eastbridgewater, mass. when i had a sighting of a dome shaped ufo hovering nearby and was emitting sparks .the sighting lasted around 25 minutes and culminated with it going directly over our heads just above the trees.it was as big as a house and made no sound. i have had so many strange sightings in my past i feel this wont be the last time

One would, of course, have to include the possibility of lantern here. Cool old-time saucer perception too. As readers know, multiple UFO perceptions to the same individual are not uncommon and yes, can run in the family. Normally I will not be including such brief experiences of 10 seconds but thought that the recurrence bumped this up.

For Example - This Person Has Seen Strange Object 3 Times In Year Near Toledo Ohio

Saw objects three different times 
-First was early spring 
-Second two were two weeks apart, last happened this past Saturday 

I take out trash at about 11:30pm every night. The first instance occurred late last spring. I looked up, and saw an outline of an extremely large triangular object with six round white lights on the bottom, moving north with no sound at all. It wasnt moving fast. The second two were about two weeks apart in time, but were the same object. The first time I thought it was a very large piece of plastic rolling along with the wind. But I thought that was strange as it was moving at a high rate of speed. These were both very similar, and spotted both moving the same path from north to south. 

1. At home outside. 
2. Looked up at sky, no cloud cover with all three, and first was almost directly overhead. 
3. First object I have no idea. It was in a shape of a triangle, black with six round white lights. Second two, the first time I thought it was a very long rolled up piece of plastic, but it was moving faster than a jet would travel, which I thought was strange. The second time it was brighter, moving the same rate of speed in the same direction, and then just disappeared. There was no sound with any of these objects. 
4. First object I saw was moving north, almost overhead, with six lights. Second two were moving south. 
5. First object I became very numb, with chills going down my spine. The object was about 1000ft almost directly above me. I still get chills thinking about it because it was extremely large, about the size of a 757, with no sound at all. The second two I am still confused about. 
6. All eventually disappeared.

Almost, sounds a bit like the Virgie Scroll or even the Google Loon. Certainly fits within the Neighborhood UFO motif.
